P. Terry's veggie burger is amazing! Best veggie burger that I've had in 15 years of vegetarianism.

Great to hear In-N-Out is coming to TX. We have Smashburger and Five Guys here in CO and they are good, we go often -- but there's nothing like In-N-Out. I am excited to try Whataburger once we arrive....

I don't like P'Terrys. Bland I say! The fries are greasy too. I want to like it because of the price, but I just can't.

Don't be excited about Whataburger. It's more in line with Burger King and Carls Jr. It's not bad, but definitely a standard fast food burger. I'd be much more excited to try Moonie's or even Mighty Fine (even though I'm not a fan of Mighty Fine).

There's always room for more burger joints.

In&Out is ok, so is Fatburger. But give me a Whataburger, Fuddrucker's, Top Notch, or Dan's any day!

Excited to try In-N-Out when they come around. In the meantime, if you're not going to Moonie's for your burger fix then your life will never be complete and you'll die a broken shell of a person.

In-and-Out is a decent quick burger
Nothing special, but people do like them

I prefer a real burger like Fuddruckers

Surprised how many Californians think In-and-Out is the best hamburger ????
I lived in Cali for 5 years, ate them frequently, but nothing special ....

I had the opportunity to try I&O a couple of years ago in Orange County. I must say, and maybe it was the build up, but I was severely underwhelmed. After talking to friends and others who swear by it (including one friend who intentionally plans layovers in LA to grab some), I guess I was expecting to be transferred to another plane of consciousness once I bit into one. Instead, I was greeted by the taste of a typically overcooked squashed burger patty. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing? Maybe I'm jaded? Fudd's was good, when they were still around (and when the cook actually got my medium rare order right). I like Mighty Fine because they'll cook your burger "medium" (more like medium well, but at least you get to see some pink in there). I've not been overwhelmed by many of the new entrants into the local burger wars (elevation burger (thumbs down), 5 guys (thumbs sideways), Terra Burger (thumbs down)).

I'm just waiting for Togo's to make another stab at Austin (I miss their pastrami sandy).

If they bring any food from Cali, it should be this

The Hat, World Famous Pastrami

Wicked good Pastrami

Amen on In-and-Out, Glorified white castle
fun quick burger, but that's it

And Fudds is still around, there are a few in the area.

Thought Mighty Fine, was quality, but dried hockey puck
Only ate there once, but with Fudd in the area, not going back to Mighty Fine

That looks yummy, I'll have to track one down next time I'm in SoCal.

All the Fudds that I used to haunt are now closed (W Anderson, I35, S Lamar). If you try Mighty Fine again, try asking for your burger cooked medium. I made the mistake once of getting one of their "standard" burgers (I was in a hurry and they tell you that a medium will take 15 min extra) and it was just a lousy as the burgers I mentioned previously.
