Hi all,

Can anybody recommend any halls/clubhouses/activity centers etc. that are available to use for a wedding reception in the NW Austin and Cedar Park area? Our wedding is at St. Thomas More (on 620 west of Anderson Mill Rd) but their hall is booked and we want to find a place nearby for the reception.

We will probably have around 200 attendees, so size is important. Fancy isn't important. I have a call in to the Twin Creeks Clubhouse, but I have a feeling they will be too pricey. Any help is GREATLY appreciated!! I am not too familiar with everything in the area, but I know there has to be several options.

Try the Oasis. Not far from St. Thomas More at all, and they have a lot of options. I had a company Christmas party for 175 there, and the staff was really great to work with. I was also surprised at how reasonably priced it was.

My friend had his reception at a country club in NW Austin cant remember the name but you might want to check those. Also there is an Austin wedding magazine (that has the same stuff every month) and a wedding show at the convention center every few months so you can get more ideas.

You might also check with a wedding consultant my wife hired one for a few hundred $$$ mainly to help with ideas. I was told that she saved us more money than she cost since she had discounts at florist and linen and other vendors. Wouldn't know who to recommend now its been a few years.

On the west side of Round Rock is a beautiful place - Chateau on the Creek - it's for weddings & receptions:

Or the Avery Ranch Golf Club:

Thanks everybody for the replies. We're now deciding to change the date to be able to reserve the church's activity center to make everything easier.

But I did just sign up for that Austin wedding magazine.

Appreciate the help!
