We live at a T intersection in a quiet central neighborhood but probably would not do it again; there are pros and cons. Pros are the view from the front windows is much nicer with a long tree-lined vista rather than staring at someone else's yard. Cons are that our bedrooms are in the front so headlights can be an issue, ie early am paper delivery. I think those issues can be addressed though by planting things in the front to block the light or using blackout drapes. Also, we never park in front on the street in case someone plows into the car which did happen once a while back.

Funny you should write that...as I drive down a street in our neighborhood that T's (and that now connects to the newly developing section of the neighborhood behind us), I think about that very thing because my car lights shine into a house and glimmer through its beveled glass front door. I would HATE it because with the open floorplans and that glass front door, you know they're getting the light flashes all through the house. Plus now that the street connects, the amount of traffic will increase. They have small kids who play outside too. I would definitely think hard about it, based on the amount of traffic and the actual location of the house.
