Amen! I don't really give a rat's behind if someone is driving slowly, unless they are doing it in the left lane. Absolutely drives me insane.

I love to chill in the right hand lane. I'm never in that much of a hurry, especially in the summer.

They must NOT be going that slowly in Cedar Park. I pass a motorcycle cop writing a ticket on either South Bell(183) or 1431 nearly every day.

If they are going slow in the right lane, why do you care? Austinites have more important things to do while driving, like texting, smoking, and talking on their cell phones (all of which slow them down). Just pass them and be glad they are behind you.

Doing what, driving slow? I always do the speed limit but I really only speed if there is a true emergency or somebody else makes me feel uncomfortable and I don't want to be behind them. My point was that people should plan better and there won't be a need to speed as the OP suggested.

Well since most of Leander is under construction with new roads that is usually the area you are suppose to go slow..

It's not because Austinites have too much to do in their cars while driving, it's just that some of us just don't really need to hurry, hurry, hurry all the time. Keep your fast self in the left lane and I'll keep my slow self in the right lane and we'll get along just fine

I'm from the east coast as well and I don't have a problem with slow drivers overall... but the entire concept of "slow, stay right" or "pass on the left" is completely lost on this city in every possible way. It drives me insane. If you are not actively passing someone.. STAY TO THE RIGHT. How hard is it?
