The company I work for recently moved into one of those old houses off of W 5th St that's been converted into office space. The main room of the office is about 800 square feet and has hardwood floors and a 10-foot ceiling. We've got carpet tiles on the floor and some workstations with dividers, but these things haven't dampened the sound enough. Whenever more than one person is on the phone at the same time, it gets to be a cacophony of sound.

Does anyone on this board know any business in town that provides soundproofing solutions for commercial space?

Speaking as an architect, what you probably need more acoustical absorption, to reduce the reverberation & reflection of sound within the space.

"RevMan" Joshua Leasure (City-Data user name): is a senior acoustical consultant at http://www.jeacoustics.com/personnel.html/ (broken link) who has been active on this City-Data discussion board and in the community helping other businesses solve their acoustical problems. //www.city-data.com/forum/membe...en-732780.html

If he can't help you, try David Dickensheets Dickensheets Design Associates An acoustical consultants who has been working in Austin for a very long time. He has worked on numerous commercial, local and state and institutional projects.
