That water supply doesn't come from 10,000' underground where the fracin' takes place in the Eagle Ford or Bakken Shale plays.

Some places around the DFW area have had contamination from some shallow gas wells.

ha!! Now we have a solid go-to punchline anytime we need it! I think the movie was referring to the Marcellus Shale in the NE/Appalachia. Can't confirm the films veracity; just aware that it exists - lest I become comic fodder for attempting to do so.

Gasland was debunked pretty well () last year.

It's a Michael Moore type fraudumentary.

Funny thing is, when I was in the MarCom (Marketing Communications) bidness in Hollywood a couple of decades ago, I produced an A/V presentation about fracking for one of the big oil companies, because nobody knew anything about it, but it was going to be the next big thing. And it was supposed to be such a huge improvement over older technologies!

Yup, that's what they called it... fracking.

Little did I know.
