We have a live oak that has a large branch that is endangering our roof. My son and I would get up and do it ourselves, but it looks to be too dangerous for our level of skill, considering the weight and position of the branch. Could anyone suggest a tree company that they have used and trust? I may at some point want another tree in my back yard taken out, but for the moment, it is just the oak that is of concern. Thanks.

Davey Tree Company - free estimates
Vincent Debrock - Arborist
work 451-4986
mobile (512) 677-3129

They removed two trees in my yard, one was a huge Chinese Pistache who's main trunk had split in 3 directions after a wind storm. It overhung my house and my neighbors house. The other was a very large red bud which overhung just my house, but was choking my yard for sunshine. They did all of the work with no problems and cleaned up after themselves quite well. If you want, they will grind up the trees into mulch and leave it for your use or haul it off, its up to you. At least that was the case when they did the work a couple of years ago.

Second Davey. They've done some big jobs in our neighborhood and seem to be very knowledgable and price competitive. Just be sure to get that oak trimmed before the end of August to avoid the oak wilt danger period.

Also, make sure they seal the cut area to help cut down on the chance of getting wilt. Any legit company will, but just for your info.
