Got no problem with laws, by the way, but they should be needed laws for everyone, not "hey this is a good idea" or "I don't like X so we need to make a law that no one has access to or can do X".

No complaint until now . We love this beautiful city with hills and a lake! The traffic may be a complaint , however, luckily, I am working from home and no issue for me.

One less than desirable Texas thing for me: the weather. It is beastly hot in the summer, which is long. Winters vary, but sometimes many freezes. Because the freezes last only a few days, the city (both freeways, equipment and the drivers) are unprepared to deal with this. Heavy thunderstorms with high winds and flooding, also the possibility of damaging hail and tornadoes, but also long, hot droughts. Unpredictable swings to extremes. Unpredictable shortages of water. Of course there are places with much WORSE weather, and some people really like the weather here. So it is a personal preference thing, I think.

Pretty sure ALL terms are "made up" by someone.

Gerrymander was 'made up' two centuries ago, for example.

Worst thing is the huge influx of non-naitive texans moving into the area. They're changing the culture and landscape of the area at an alarming rate ... and not in a good way. Who the heck moves to Texas and asks for a good place for vegan tamales???
