Where will you be working? Austin has bad traffic problems during rush hour commutes, so you should try to live close to where you work. There are good neighborhoods on both North and South sides of town. A few areas to avoid are Dove Springs, Riverside and Rundburg Lane. Generally the west side has better schools.

Circle C or Cedar Park/Leander area if you can deal with rush hour commutes. Price point in Circle C is $250k+ (and probably closer to $280k+ in order to get 4 bedrooms). Cedar Park has areas that are significantly less. Tell us a little more and we can give you some other options. There are plenty of other family-friendly areas.

most areas are family friendly so that criteria isnt very useful.

Try searching the forum for family friendly to get an idea of the additional criteria people use.

1) how big of a house?
2) what kinds of things do you do?
3) where will you work?
4) how long of a commute is acceptable?

etc

If south look at olympic heights, rancho alto, ashbrook, parkside at slaughter, bradshaw crossing. They are all nice in a gentrifying area and are still right under 200k for buy-in. Anything more than 3 bedroom will be tough though while keeping at that price.

What Austin97 said. Lots of people will throw out suggestions based on their own personal preferences, but if you want a substantive answer, we need more details about what you're looking for. Draw us a picture of the life you envision when you get here (where you'll be commuting to and how long a commute can you abide, what do you and your family like to do, what kind of neighborhood you like, do you like older homes in established neighborhoods or newer homes in new neighborhoods, price range, that kind of thing), and we can be MUCH more helpful.
