I like Spec's prices better too. I actually like one of our local mom and pop liquor stores here too. I don't think she's too inexpensive, but that lady stocks almost anything you can imagine, including many local brands and also legal moonshine

Haha I moved here from New Orleans back in 05 and I was shocked at the liquor laws. Like you I could walk into any store or gas station 24x7 and buy beer, wine or liquor. Here liquor stores are 10-9 Mon-Sat and closed Sun. Beer and wine can be sold until 2AM and noon to midnight Sun and can be found just about anywhere. Specs is my favorite liquor store then a local mom and pop near my house. Specs has the best prices on most stuff.

Not to mention the "Daiquiri Shacks" with the drive-in windows, and the open-container carry on Bourbon Street.
