I'd like to check out Austin, but can't find anyone to come with me. As much as I'd like to avoid the "touristy" experience I don't feel I can really get a feel for the place solo.

Anyone know of any good tour groups?

Hi Megan. My daughter is interested in going to Austin, Texas also and has no one to go with. She is 21 years old and would like to get there but does not want to go herself. Could you give me some background information so I can tell her. Are you close to her age. I want to be careful who she goes with that is why I would like background information
and I will provide you with information on Heather, my daughter. Could you answer me on Moderator cut: please use Direct Messages for personal information. I am not sure how to use this I just happened to come across it. Thank you and I hope it can work out.

Why don't you send Megan a DM! I'm sure she would answer your questions to her utmost ability.

Hi CarolMother,

Sorry, I wasn't looking for a traveling companion, just some structured activities if I were going to have to try to navigate the city alone. I did get my sister to go with me eventually, though.

I don't think it would be a good idea for a 21 year old to go to an unfamiliar city alone, so I think she is smart to know her limitations. I don't think I'd try to find people to meet up with her on an internet forum though - too many wackos out there.

Why don't you go with her? It might be fun.

Megan

I suggested that but she does not want to go with me. I agree with you and I was just looking. I would not let her go with someone she doesn't know
