Mid afternoon we had a downpour here in Hutto. It didn't last long but I was surprised to see it rain when it was so sunny most of the day. Did you get any rain, if so, what area were you in?

We had a downpour in West Austin, but I drove along IH 35 through Round Rock, and not a drop. This area has been so fortunate this summer in that regard. I don't recall ever getting rain through the third week in July. I remember rain through July 15th one year and being amazed by that.

I agree. The weather has been good since last fall in my opinion. It's a relief!

I know. I felt bad for people, like you, who moved here just before one of the most challenging summers that I can remember.

We got a trace (less than .1 of an inch) in Lost Creek yesterday. I happened to be in East Austin late yesterday afternoon, and they had a significant (but quick) downpour.

2007 is the last rainy July in my memory, and I recall it being through most of the month.

This summer has been pretty tolerable, aside from some short bursts of really hot weather with humidity (I personally don't mind the really hot dry days). I'm not sure what the 100-degree day count is this year, but it's probably on the lower end of recent summers. Still probably more than our historical average of 13 100+ degree days per year (which many recent transplants must find hard to believe).

Drier than a popcorn fart in South Austin. But I did smell some rain.

Got a small handful of drops in RR. Whatever was coming up 79 at about 4-5pm yesterday just fizzled out before it hit Main St I guess.

We had a moderate sprinkle - it wasn't really a steady rain - in NW Austin for about 10 minutes. We were in the Arboretum area today at Nordstrom Rack and just as we got ready to leave it reained pretty hard for about 10 minutes. We had to go back inside and shop some more!
