Any thoughts on where my husband & I can go to have a nice turkey dinner on T-Day?

Thanks!

Threadgills used to have a nice spread - haven't been there in a while.

My in-laws plan to go to Mimi's. Apparently they're doing something special for Turkey day.

I seem to remember Hyde Park Bar having a turkey day special; I could be mistaken.

The Four Seasons used to do an amazing Thanksgiving dinner. Their cafe has since been remodeled, but I imagine it's probably better than ever.

We had one of our best Turkey Days at Hyde Park Bar and Grill...the one in Hyde Park, not by CM on 290. And not sure if you are a runner or a walker by the Thundercloud Turkey Trot was always one of my favorite races. I really miss it now that I live in Seattle.

I called the Hyde Park Bar & Grill, and they don't take reservations for T-Day, which is sort of a bummer. I'd like some sort of guarantee that I'll be eating turkey on Thanksgiving. The Four Seasons is just too expensive ($75/person). I'm a little worried about the decor of Mimi's (and while $75/person seems too expensive, $15/person seems too cheap). I ate once at Threadgills and didn't like it very much. Heh, I'm sorry I'm being so difficult. I'd love to find an affordable log cabin-like place (maybe like Shady Grove). Not as fancy as the Four Seasons but not as, well, non-fancy as Mimi's (or, for example The Magnolia Cafe). This will be my first Thanksgiving that I either didn't make myself or spent with family. I'd like it to be special.

I really appreciate all your suggestions, though, thanks!

It's hard to be away from family during holidays. That is one thing that is going to bug me when I move to Austin--having no family around on the holidays.

I might have to make holiday dinners myself and invite friends from here and new ones I make around town after I move. I would prefer that over eating at a restaurant.

Okay, since none of those suit, here's a list of restaurants that will be open for Thanksgiving, courtesy of Citysearch.

And another list (with some duplication, of course).
