The city just approved 5 new toll roads. Work will start in 2009. Anyone know where the toll road will be on SH 45 in SW Austin. Where will the toll start?

Sh 45 is already built (frontage roads) in the SW side near lady bird wildflower center which is the start of the mopac south near slaughter. It will connect all the way to 1-35(buda)and from there to ABIA currently 183 south to connect to the SH 130. Will be good for drivers in Hays County and South Austin.

Yes, but exactly where will the toll plaza be?
Seems as though no-one knows (or will tell)
Circle C residents insist it will be up near WM Cannon and Mopac, yet Villages of Western Oaks people insist it will be @ 1826 and sh45...

Do the people building it even know?!

Cheers

It'd be so convenient for me when the SW 45 is built but at best it's 10 years away and I'm sure I'll move by then and be another 10 years away from the next toll road.

I did some research and I believe it is going to be east of mopac towards I35 and not anywhere near the Circle C side. It's not 10 years off as the other poster said, they will start in 2009. It's going to 1626, that is where the western oaks folks are confused. It wouldn't make sense to do it at 1826 since there is a toll road at oak hill going to dripping springs.

That's correct. It'll go east to 1626, where I would get on and then supposedly continue all the way to 35.

SH45 already exists at 1826.
If that is extended to ih35 wont there need to be some sort of plaza to get onto it ? Or will CC residents get a free ride till they hit I35?

Any "normal" city would have maps and images and such available for residents. Here it seems they intend to just surprise everyone..

Cheers

The toll plaza will be west of circle c from what I understand. I'm imagining it will be towards I35, there is no need for a toll plaza to the west.
