1. There are parks throughout the city. If you want the king of all parks, Zilker Park, then the neighborhoods directly south of Barton Springs Rd are probably the best place to be.

There are lots of clubs with DJs, yes. Just do an online search for "dance clubs, Austin" to pull up a list.

There are lots of hike and bike trails and parks through out Austin. I live in SW Austin, this map shows trails around where I live. But I'd have to drive aways to find much live music. I can think of two restaurants that occasionally have live music within 2 miles.
