Anyone want to make a recent recommendation? Been using Granite and not sure we want to stick with them. Would prefer a company that uses a cellular service instead of a hard phone line. Thanks.

SimpliSafe is good, I personally use Livewatch and absolutely love it - signed a one year contract, purchased the equipment up front and set it up all DIY (very easy and straight forward!)

I also use AllStar out of Lago Vista - very good folks. Though I pay $25/month - signed up directly with them no through Alarm.com. It was great to get a system that worked over the cell towers (GSM) instead of the phone line.

Don't know exactly but it is out of San Antonio. All the communication however is thru Allstar. I get a text every week (annoyingly about midnight or so) saying they have checked the system.
