What are some suggestions for enjoying the festivities?

I saw an ad for symphony and fireworks at Auditorium Shores? This seems like my cup of tea. Has anyone ever partook?

As far as fireworks go...best show? Biggest, longest, loudest, best choreographed?

Friends rented a boat on Lake Travis and invited us. We turn in the boat at 8 pm and wanted to catch fireworks right after. Is there anyplace we can park and see them near Emerald Point Marina/Hudson Bend?
