Can anyone identify this bug? It flies short distances and jumps/backflips when my dog tries to paw at it. Literally does back flips. Does anyone have these in their houses?

I'm trying to get Terminix to get these suckers but nothing is working.

I found them and they really seem to be called Click Beetles. I'll have to let the bug guys know but for some reason they aren't considered pests, but they're all over my house like 2-3 a night.

Click beetles and they are harmless.

Any kind of pesticide applied to your house would be an actual threat to your health and these insect are not.

When I was a kid we used to play with them by setting them on their backs and they snap their whole back and go flying into the air to, hopefully, land right side up.

Not only your cats, but your kids. Hold a clicker bug and it will keep clicking, which is quite entertaining. I picked one up last night in my bug relocation program and put it outside. No worries.

"Invasions" of various insects are seasonal. Just wait a few weeks, and they will be out of their cycle, and you won't see them much until next year.

Think that the "mystery bug" that's in my car! I picked up my water bottle and he was in the cup holder. So I quickly put it back on top of him, as I was driving down 183. That was the longest ride home. I sent my husband out to take care of him when I got back. He comes in and tells me it jumped and he doesn't know where it went. Great! So now I've been driving in paranoia for two weeks. I'm ready to trade my car in LOL
