Depending on when you move, the IRS customer service center is down by Parker Lane. They have seasonal positions Dec-April, basically. Lots of budget cuts, so I don't know if it's easy to get a job anymore, but I did used to know someone that got by doing that and tutoring.

Hi,

Thanks, Crob! I will check that site out and I think it'll be a fun time here in Austin! And hopefully I find good roommates! :-)

Well, on airbnb I found a place near the Domain for $475 a month (sleeping on a futon in the living room). This for now is just a monthly rental, so good news is I have a place to live, but the slight downside is I don't have my own room. But hey, it's better than staying in hotels each night or on the street! :-)

Not really, no I couldn't. Most places were opening vacancy at the end of May and ones which were opening May 1st said I didn't have enough time to interview with them. Again, this is for one month, so I will look for something better to start June 1st. Isn't that a question we all must ask ourselves...do you have a car? What truly is a car? Is a car something you drive, or something that drives you? Is a car a car since its a car?

Also, it looks like I will be working in North Austin, so it'll be relatively close to where I work. I won't be working in the South Congress area or anything insanely far away.
