today was official, beer will be avaliable at all home football games. beer sold at a football stadium on a college campus? whats wrong with milk, tea, or water? beer isnt a great way to enjoy longhorn games, its a bit immature drinking beer while watching a live football game.

Huh? The same number of people will be drinking at games as before, but instead of smuggling it in or getting loaded ahead of time, they will buy it there. I could see a scenario where there are fewer drunk people because they will stop bringing it in (or getting soused ahead of time), and will then be limited by their budget once they get there.

Beer & wine? So what?

The "upper crust" in the suites and club seats already have alcohol service - at a big price - and the proletariat commoners down below either tank up prior to the games at their tailgates or sneak it in if they are thirsty enough.
As pointed out, it's all about money.

"Immature"? lol

Besides, judging from the product on the field these past 5 seasons, perhaps some of the fans need anesthetizing.

If drinking beer is immature, then I don't want to grow up!
