That is great news! It should definitely help my condo's value at the Railyard Condos since we are just two blocks away.

Regardless of Google, I wouldn't worry about your condo's value in that location.

Even if the economy in the rest of the US isn't looking so hot, Austin sounds pretty good. Well at least in the I.T. field.

I am not real worried about downtown condo values but this definitely puts a smile on my face as an owner.

Wow, I am thrilled! A hundred new jobs, that will do miracles: A whole hundred! New skyscrapers will go up, condo prices will shoot through the stars as already pointed out, and there will be free pizza for everyone who drives on MOPAC at rush hour.

Wherever Google goes, there are other things that happen magically. Trucks and SUVs disappear, everyone drives electric vehicles. Drivers become polite. Traffic thins. Religious conservatives suddenly become more accepting of people who disagree. The average level of education goes up. Racism disappears.

Oh my God, Google is on an evil mission to turn Texas into California. Run!

That's funny, and I gave you props. Sarcasm is my favorte form or irony.

But there is a grain of truth to the notion that the addition of Google to the tech landscape in Austin brings good vibes, and that more good news will follow. Whether it's feel-good hype or not, it ain't a bad thing.

Steve
