Fun fun fest is this weekend. Where was traffic bad? Isn't traffic always bad?

Yes, I got caught in some FFF traffic trying to turn onto S. First from Riverside but otherwise it seemed like typical Friday traffic once I avoided that area.

Where were you WildChicken? Trying to go south on Mopac? That is always bad.

.
I've been here since September (so not that terribly long) and haven' come across any beyond horrible traffic except the one Friday I thought taking Mopac to 35 to get to San Antonio on a Friday at 5 was a good idea. It didn't seem any different than a normal Friday to me either.

Might have been slightly heavier due to FFF, I would have gone that way myself if I had remembered I needed a way to avoid Riverside/S. First.

But in general traffic on Congress is SO much better since they took the buses off. Huge improvement.

There are MANY events that impact downtown. The Downtown Austin Alliance does a pretty good job of tracking them. I check it most weekends just to know what is going on, I live just south of the river but much of what I do is north of UT, so knowing if my routes through town are clear is important to me.
