That's my concern but multiple people have sworn up and down it is the best dim sum around.

Shanghai near Highland Mall has very good dim sum for Austin. I'm also suspect of the Chinatown praise, but I'll give it a go as well.

We go to Marco Polo for dim sum and like it a lot.

Used to go to Sunflower alot, when I lived north of the river. Great Vietnamese, if it is the same place I am thinking of (adjacent to Target off 183)... also close by Tam Tam, dunno if they are still open, used to love that place. And of course the landmark Kim Phung up 183 at Lamar. I never knew any of those places to be real Chinese, though...
