My fiance will be attending grad school at UT this fall, so we are in the process of moving to Austin. We are moving from PA, so it's a bit difficult to search for apartments. Has anyone used HomePlace Apartment Search? And if so, what do you think of them? It seems like a great way to have someone on the inside, but who ever knows with internet searches.

Thank you for your help!

I just used that company I am moving down to Austin in 2 weeks and they found what I was looking for in the location I wanted. They helped me a lot. The lady that helped me,her name is Summer. I would definitely recommend them.

It's not so much the company as it is the particular agent you end up with. Ask which areas they know best and how long they've been locating apartments for people.

If they're good, and properly trained, you'll notice that their main objective is to get you in for an appointment. A good locater won't give away much info over the phone.

Welcome to Austin!
