This is good information - thanks everyone! I emailed the guy we talked to at Pulte, so I'll see what he says as well.

Can any of you "Highpointers" tell me if the Wilshire homes are front or side-entry garages? The ones on their website look mostly like front-entry, and we would prefer side-entry. We haven't looked at any of their models yet - it looks like they only have a few out in HP. How do you see the rest? Go to their other communities? Thanks!

Leigh

Wilshire homes has several floor plans unlike Pulte and I am sure you can find one with side-entry garages.

Wilshire (my favorite builder - so I am biased) will allow you to alter your home to meet your specifications. So if there is a plan where a side garage would work, and you also get an appropriate lot - they would do it. They are an awesome builder to work with. It is a production home, but the choices and decisions make it feel much more custom.

Thanks for all the input. We are stilll planning on building in Highpointe but are waiting for our home in WA to sell first (dang this market!). We are going to have a TX attorney review the contract before we commit (which Wilshire will reimburse), but from what we have learned, it is as Zzyzx says and we don't believe the condo issue will be a problem.

We modified our Wilshire Home to have a side-entry garage- shouldn't be a problem at all.
