Hello moving to the area. Which would be the preferred community to live and raise a family... Parkside mayfield in Georgetown or Oaks at San Gabriel?

One thing to consider is the actual locations of the neighborhoods...and their respective school districts. For example, Parkside @ Mayfield Ranch is surrounded by Leander, Cedar Park, Round Rock and surprise...Georgetown(as it's not particularly near what most folks think of as Georgetown).

It looks like Oaks @ San Gabriel is new(started in 2015?), if I'm not mistaken; while Parkside @ Mayfield has been building for the last ten years or so.

Parkside @ Mayfield Ranch is in the LeanderISD while Oaks is in GeorgetownISD, so folks will have some opinions about that(and specifically which schools serve those 'hoods).

Both are great neighborhoods with lots of kids. I would say there are more "families" in Parkside verse more empty nesters in San Gabriel, but not a very large statistical difference.

Where would you be commuting to? That MIGHT make a difference. Both are good communities. Parkside at Mayfield is, as has been stated, more of an established neighborhood.
