I don’t think I could make it that far on an electric bike.

I finally saw someone hit one of those abandoned toll booths just east of Lake Creek Pkwy on 45. It was a massacre.

I can’t help but wonder if that will encourage them to remove those abandoned booths. People wiz through them, even the tighter ones … you just can’t help but wonder when someone’s going to make a mistake.

Some of the booths seem much wider than others. I guess for Trucks… but traffic generally seems to try to wiz through them at 70 regardless. On the wider ones I will wiz through them too but the narrow ones I slow down for. Reinforced concrete isn’t a very forgiving thing to hit.

I have seen a video of a car (Fleeing the police) that hit one of the toll both barriers at a high speed. The car stopped dead, but the driver continued through the windshield at speed and out of sight of the security camera. He eventually stopped dead too, needless to say.

But yes, I do slow down more for the narrower exits.

I had an video interview today with someone infected with Covid-19. She was WFH of course.. ..but she was also asymptomatic. She seemed completely fine and healthy, never would have knew she had it if she didn't tell me. No sneezing, runny nose, cough, nothing .. .. she seemed completely ordinary. She only found out because she had to get tested before traveling and found out she tested positive. She was vaccinated of course so I'm sure that helps...makes you wonder though how many of us may have it or have had it without realizing it.

My older brother had the Covid for about a week over the holidays, but said it wasn’t any worse than a mild cold. 3x vaxxed, so that obviously helped keep it from getting serious. (He is 80, with cancer issues)
His wife just tested positive, but I have not heard what her condition is.

I just spoke to a neighbor who had it over the holidays. He said it was a 6/10 bad. I think he was va fed but not sure if he had the booster. Meanwhile, last week I sat in my car for seven hours to get a covid test and bailed about ten cars from the front because they stopped testing at five pm. I should have just asked friends because within thirty minutes I had picked up an at home test from a friend. It was negative. And I have two tests arriving from Amazon on Tuesday.
