i would hardly call it close to austin but take a drive through wimberley while you are here, south west of austin and a very popular spot for musicians and other artists and just a really beautiful small town

ill take a deeper look, i just googled it and it seems to be almost right in the middle of austin and san antonio. thanks

it takes about 1.5 hours to drive to san antonio from austin, sometimes less if you are already in the southern part of town, just to give you an idea on distances
