We don’t have “mountains” in Texas.

It is kind of interesting given how big the state is, how far you have to go to get to Mountains. El-Paso has them though. They’re not the iconic stuff you think of when you see the Rockies, Cascades, Blueridge or Appalachia but surely they fit the terminology? They’re barren and arid and probably not a tourist hot spot but they exist I guess.

you keep asking very similar questions. Do some minimal research and narrow down to an area. We can give commentary about the reality of an area. But views are going to be unit by unit even in the same complex.

there are too many areas that match "views" and "apartments" 15 miles from downtown austin.

And I'm a bit confused since it appears the OP has lived in Austin for perhaps four years and lives in Steiner Ranch? Should she be aware of the areas in the Austin are by now and where to look? The job she was looking at is on Metropolis in southeast Austin. We rarely get any additional feedback from her either to get more details.

Thank you for your reply. I appreciate your kind help. Yes I know bit of austin now but I haven't explored apartments yet. I haven't driven to south austin or north austin much.

I thought people who have lived in different areas can suggest good apartments with views. I saw some near lakeline and river place but they don't have any view.

Lakeline is too far east from the hills.

If you're looking as far out as Lakeline and River Place, take a look at Tacara Steiner Ranch - I haven't ever stayed there so I can't rate it but I did visit once and the view was pretty nice IMO - Keep in mind though, out that way - 15 miles from Downtown, does not mean 15 minutes from Downtown.

Why not take a drive one day? Just get in the car and go. I didn't know south Austin before moving there but made a list of apartments and drove around one weekend. You may still want a realtor or an apartment locator to help.
