Anyone have any suggestions for Mother's Day brunch? Looking for something casual. Is the Nutty Brown Cafe brunch good? Any ideas for other places?

Default brunch

moonshine @ 3rd/red river
they also have a patio
threadgills has been one of my old austin favorites, but i have had to let go after repeated mediocre meals (of course better than fast food, but just not the quality of the past)

Nutty Brown's brunch is good country cooking (nothing too healthy here ), but I am not sure if they do anything different for MDay. It is not fancy, though, that is for sure.

I have not been to Moonshine's brunch - but have for dinner. It's great!!! We had an amazing meal there - so I have to assume it's great for breakfast too.

I still like Threadgills for a casual brunch though... you seriously can't beat their sweetpotato pancakes....

Default Dining Out with Rob Balon

Check out Rob Balon's recommendations. Some are not necessarily brunch, but he's got a good selection. And he should know...

In SW Austin I'd recommend
Verona Ristorante Italino‎
7101 W Highway 71
Austin, TX 78735-8307
(512) 288-3800

They have a really nice brunch on Saturday and Sunday. It is located at the Y in Oak Hill, in the far NW corner of the shoping center with Jim's Diner and the new Good Will. See the menu online at http://www.veronaustin.com/Reviews.html (broken link)
