I'm working near the capitol building. I've been eating at Congress Ave places and am burned out already. Where are some good places to eat nearby?

Thanks!

What do you consider good? There is, of course, a balance between 'taste' and 'price'. Also, does it have to be walking distance, or 'dillo distance, or something else?

I like East Side Cafe, and a little West are a lot of places, but man, there are a million options depending on how far you are willing to travel (although still 'downtown').

Korente on 6th near i35 is really good - healthy Korean food!

Me Kong River (pho and other viet. food) on 6th is really good too.

Moonshine, chez nous are also nice.. Sorry I live in that area so those are my "local" spots to hit up

Arturo's is a small sandwich shop. It's very good.

I'm looking for stuff that is in walking distance. After being in the car culture of Atlanta, I'm enjoying getting out and walking!

Texas Chili Parlor, Dog & Duck, Sagra trattoria... those are close... dunno if you've gone this far south on 6th, but Thai Passion, Thistle Cafe (free Wifi), Roaring Fork.. But there are many, many options if you go as far south as 6th.

Maybe when the circulator buses start for the rail system, you could go to the convention center area. Several nice places there -- Iron Works BBQ and Donna Emilia's are two that I really like.

Thanks for all the suggestions! Looking forward to trying something besides Chipotle, Quiznos and Little City.

A couple of good alternatives to Quizno's downtown are "Which Wich" on 3rd and "Jimmy John's" on 6th and Congress. Wahoo's Fish Tacos is good too. I know Jimmy John's isn't that far of a walk for you. The other two might be further than you're willing to walk.
