What is the best way to get from Round Rock to MLK Blvd in Downtown Austin . I have thought about taking the 130 south to 290 south, 1 south to 183 south...or 35 south all the way. Oh and I forgot to mention I need to be at work at 8:00 AM. What would be best and how long should I expect to leave to be there on time.

Thanks for any help I can get.

Well, first, it's not "the" 130, just 130 or State Highway 130.

Where in Round Rock are you going from? Depending on where that is, you might even take Parmer over to either Mopac (what we call Loop 1) or I35 and down.

Assuming you need MLK near 35, it's probably just best to suck it up and do 35 the whole way (also again depending on where you are in RR). To be there by 8, I wouldn't leave any later than 7 to be sure. Some people get off early and take Lamar down but I'd only consider that if stopping in the north part of downtown, not all of the way to MLK.

I am going to be around Gattis and Red Bud which is why i thought 130 would be good.

Absolutely, that would be the choice I would make in that case.
