Besides the obvious Barton Springs, can I get some input on which pool within the Austin area I can take my little kiddo (5 yr) for a swim this afternoon?
He's a pretty good swimmer and would love a slide, but will be happy just to get in the water!
Thanks!

To be honest, I tried going swimming yesterday in the public pool, and the water is still too cold. It was frigid. They days are getting hotter, but the water isn't.

Try Stacy Pool. Year round, warm water. Here are some reviews:

Thanks for your suggestions - We'll definitely try Stacy pool. We live near Murchison but it's closed until Memorial Day.
We ended up driving up to Round Rock Chasco YMCA - they have a fabulous pool with indoor kids pool with slide. It was great!!

I know from years of sailing on Lake Travis that the lake water gets warm enough to swim by late April, especially in the shallower water of coves. So I would expect that most public swimming pools would also be warm enough, except for the spring feed pools.
