Hello everyone. I wonder if anyone might know of a group that offers Yoga for a beginner? I am interested in this as a way to manage stress and socializing. FYI, I am in my forties, fit-a runner-, and open to participating in a diverse group.

In addition, does anyone know of a recovery group, including AA, that is small to medium in size. I do live in North Austin and do attend some AA groups in the northside but they are rather large. I am willing to travel some for the right meeting/group.

Thanks

I always recommend Yoga Yoga because they have almost every level and type of yoga available! www.yogayoga. com They are true old time Austin and have studios all over town. Another interesting Yoga studio specifically for relaxation is Tao: Welcome to Tao Health Center
Good luck!

I don't know where in North Austin your located but I take Vinyasa Yoga classes at the Clay Madsen Rec Ctr in Round Rock. It's great for beginner and intermediate. It's also very affordable. I started taking the classes last September and have been taking her classes consistently ever since.

The yoga instructor has over 10 years experience teaching and is also a chiropractor so a plus in making sure everyone is in alignment.

Sun City....there are two groups for AA that are pretty good...one is rather small on Gattis School Road on Tues, Wed, or Thurs at 8PM.....and there is a great one in Plugerville called the Rush Hour Group on Fridays at 6PM. Go to Hill Country Intergroup - Hotline (512) 444-0071 to check out ones that may be closer to you. Good luck.

Default Sun Stone

Living Social has a deal today for $30 bucks for a month of unlimited yoga at sunstone. They have an intro series to acclimate you go through things. It's done hot though so it can be a little intimidating but it's a pretty good deal.
