Yes. Since when did being a member or former member of the military preclude that person from the ability to commit an act of terror?

Does anyone remember Oklahoma City?

Terrorism is a tactic. Unexpected violent actions taken to produce the maximum effect (terror) among on-lookers and others far from the event.

That is why you can't win a war against it. Terror can't come to the table and surrender, or sign a treaty.

Anyway, although this act certainly produced terror, I haven't seen any evidence yet to suggest it was a deliberate plot and not a terrible psychotic break.

We won't know for a while whether this is an act of terror, an act of revenge, or someone going postal. We never considered Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris, nor the kid from Virginia Tech "terrorists."

Typically terrorism is an act of violence with the purpose to strike fear into some group for political purposes.

There's a lot of rampant speculation ahead of the facts going on today.

My main concern at this point is the people who are injured, and the families of them all.

It seems disrespectful to use this event as a political platform. One reason that I promptly turned off the sound any time someone with a political axe to grind or a political platform or votes to promote came on the TV.

Pray that the war(on terror) ends soon, so stressed troops stop killing themselves/each other/wives......along with the victims...

Link? Everyone else (including the general at Fort Hood) seems to think he's dead.
