I wanted to be the first to wish Y'all a Merry Christmas.

I don't do much shopping but based on the store displays at Walgreens and HEB, and all the Christmas catalogs I have been getting in the mail the season must be upon us. So I thought I had better give you all my season's greetings before I missed my chance.

Merry Christmas

I wonder why can't we celebrate Thanksgiving before we get into this next holiday?

My four year old commented on that today at Walgreens. She said why are they (meaning walgreens) celebrating christmas when we haven't had thanksgiving? She just thought it was silly and started chuckling behind her hand.

When I was a kid you didn't even see a Xmas bulb at any of the malls/stores until the day AFTER Thanksgiving.

Even to this day, I refuse to listen to a Xmas song until after Dec 1st!

The earlier stores start out pimping out Christmas the more profit they make. In a few more years we will see Christmas decorations come up after the 4th of July. Eventually they will stop taking down the christmas decorations, like most people do in march.

You're late. I could have sworn I saw Valentines decorations peaking around the corner yesterday at Target just behind the Christmas decorations. And BTW Happy Hanukkah too.

I'm talking about Valentines for 2011. You know, even if it doesn't last that long, I'll have it over and done with.
