Hello!

I'm about to go for my driving test on Monday. Planning to go to Georgetown DPS (since it's known to be more friendly?). Could anyone tell me the route that they follow for the road test?

Alternately. If you've taken/witnessed the test at North Lamar, could you provide that route? North Lamar DPS would be my second option.

If you cant recall the route, google maps is our friend!

Any other tips would be helpful too.

Thanks you very much!

I don't know the route (or if they even take the same route every time). I do know that taking it at the Georgetown DPS is going to be more pleasant not only because of friendliness but because of MUCH shorter lines.

Happy to hear that!

Do let me know if you do indeed find out the route

North Lamar always has a huge wait time, any time of the day. They only have one speed no matter how many people are waiting.

When I took my test (back in the day) the officer directed my route (i.e. "turn left at the next intersection", etc.) Also, the DPS office in Taylor is usually quite empty! My teenaged daughter always goes there for her license.
