If you want anything fresh, you have to listen to 90.5 (KUT) or 91.7 (KOOP) now.

I have hated KGSR since the 2010 change in format, but also thought the old format was also getting, well, old. Once the internet came along, and I discovered great stations like KCRW in LA and KEXP in Seattle, I realized KGSR was, like most Austin favorites, overrated. But, recently, like in the last 2 weeks or so, I have noticed less pop crap on KGSR and more alt stuff seemingly geared toward Gen Xers. (The generation to which I belong.) I like the change and if it continues, I might actually start listening to KGSR again.

Every time I turn on KGSR all I hear are guys or gals with whiny voices singing. I guess that's not my type of music any more there...
