Bought a home in December, faxed the form in January. How do I know they received? I haven't received any confirmation via mail and want to ensure they didn't "misplace" it. Appreciate any ideas on how to confirm this was received. Thanks!!

You should be able to see it online - what county are you in?

From Travis CAD:

How long before I can view my exemption on the website?
The website is updated only twice a month. Also, current year exemptions will not be reflected until after the value notices have been released (sometime mid April).

Do you have a fax receipt showing that it was sent? If so, keep it! I've not heard of any of the forms going missing, but it can't hurt to keep it with your copy of the form.

I called to confirm receipt. It eventually showed-up online.

Thanks for the info...I checked online and it states near exemptions "HS"; I'm guessing that is the homestead exemption?
