Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a good female gynecologist in NW Austin area?

I was recently in a car accident which fractured my pelvis. The injury is healed now but I want to get checked out by a gynecologist to make sure there won't be any issues down the road. If you know anyone with experience in female reproductive health after an injury, that would be awesome!

Thanks!

Rate Dr. Tara A Heyliger, DO - Obstetrics & Gynecology - Round Rock, TX

Angela Meyer, DO, Obstetrics and Gynecology

I usually stick with a DO because they can do adjustments

Cool. I do not know anything about her really. Just going by the OP history I felt she could use a D.O. instead of an M.D. So I looked up some OBGYN D.O.'s from my insurance Doctor search.

If you like her I will give her a try once my new insurance comes in.

Just an FYI: there are female physical therapists (PT) who specialize in pelvic issues. I sustained some pelvic injuries during childbirth (very rare! and I went on to have more children) and found OBs unable to help but a PT with this type of specialty was invaluable! They are out there but you have ask, start with an OB, but don't end there!

I also see Dr. Meyer. Comparing my personal experience with her to friends with their OBGYN, she was a lot more proactive about treating certain medical issues.

I like Dr. Chalasani at Austin Regional Clinic.... or any of the other O/B's associated with them. I had a high-risk pregnancy & Dr. Chalasani & ARC took great care of us!
