Just wondering what American decade does Australia compare to best in terms of culture, mentality, opportunities, and society: 1950's America, 1960's America, 1990s America, etc

Thanks
In terms of the overall infrastructure and low quality customer service, more like 50s or 60s. I live in Melb and I think the life here is very different from US, esp. if comparing to mid-west and east coast US.
The society is also quite different - for e.g. less racial stereotypes than in US, things like "black ppl are basketball players & gangstas, asians are nerds, martial arts experts, etc."

I disagree on infrastructure. Roads in Australia are in better shape, wireless broadband is more advanced, public utilities seem on par but natural gas is more readily available, public transportation is also more modern and available. Generally speaking.
But yeah customer service, the idea of being subservient, just doesn't get traction in Australia.
Anyway, the question is a dead end because it assumes the two countries are following the same paths, they aren't. Personally I think America for the masses peaked in it's 50's.
