I hadn't realised the situation had got so bad in Brisbane, seems people are really doing it tough in the Poverty belt North of the City.

The Hills are just one of an increasing number of homeless families living in the Caboolture district, north of Brisbane.
Until two weeks ago, the family had been living with a relative before a sudden change of circumstances forced them to leave.

My old neighbour used to say NZ sneezes and Australia catches a cold. How right she was. My SIL living in North Brisbane is looking at returning to Auckland, she says Australia just doesn't have anything to offer them any more.

These threads are really just pointless, does anyone buy into these media cherry picking threads?

I was up in Maleny North of Brisbane visiting my SIL who is growing more despondent with the general violence and debilitating poverty of the greater area and looking at returning to NZ. Their American and British friends are also horrified and thinking about their options.

While on the way home, I witness a Brisbane motorist chucking a thick-shake out of a car window hitting a lamppost. Children of a homeless family in the area started to lick the milkshake off the lamppost, got me thinking can it all be this bad up here?

Anyway I offered the family some money to help out, but we only had $NZ on us as the wife just came back form a visit to NZ, the family declined and requested something of value!

I can't actually state without breaking a forum rule. All I can say is don't be offended all is not as it seems, someone is posting tons of insane Anti NZ threads, I post one in retaliation on occasion, apparently all within forum rules as crazy as it might seem.

I mean seriously this deliberately badly done!
