I find these people pretty interesting because of their culture and history. I have a few questions for Aboriginals or anyone who knows a lot about them.

1. Are there any full blooded aboriginals left?
2. Are there any aboriginals outside of australia?

Thanks!

1. Yes, but they would be in remote areas, as opposed to those in the cities where they'd probably have European blood.
2. Good question. Perhaps travelers on temporary visa?

Yes, there are some full blood ones. As a matter of fact, I think they found a group of aboriginals who had never seen white people nor been to school and still were living out in the bush in the 1980's.

The crime done to the Aboriginal people by the British and later the Australian government is disgusting. Coming from a nation where the British attempted to practice the same extermination of our people and it's culture and instead were wiped out themselves as we defeated all whom they sent i can only feel sorrow and empathy for these peoples who were unfortunate to successfully do so. The Spanish, French, Germans also did similar atrocities. The difference is they are humbled by it and look upon this past with regret, not ignore it

You obviously don't know much about class, race, and the social dynamic in Latin America.

They are no longer Spanish colonial nations but independent nations. These are issues that even modern day Spain is appalled at. Thanks to the Catholic church the native peoples in many places in south america eventually were given recognition and protection. Unfortunately for the aboriginal people they were systemically exterminated and have no land or place to call home. Spain was more interested in converting the native population to Christianity and merging them into the empire while Britain was more interested in exterminating native populations and replacing them with their own. The class system introduced in south america to keep white Europeans in powerful positions in the country was a great wrong doing and Spain like Britain suffered in the end humiliating military defeats that resulted in these nations becoming independent. Mexico however is an example is how both indigenous peoples and settlers can merge together and become one people as the culture there is a mixture of both European and indigenous traditions

There are no official or accurate figures kept on full bloods. The official census and other questionnaires simply rely on someone, without any substantiation, just ticking a box saying they are an aborigine or a Torres Strait Islander but it never asked whether that person is a full blood or only a part blood. In the official census I always tick the box saying I am an aborigine because those areas get more financial aid. The full bloods are the ones who need help, not the half and quarter castes who can pass themselves off as whites. Unfortunately, the part aborigines are the ones who look like whites and get all the perks.

Patty Mills, a Torres Straits Islander, plays in the NBA. I don't know where he spends the off-season, but plays in the USA. I believe his SO is American, or possibly Canadian.

Tennis great Evonne Goolagong bought a house and lived in the USA for 8 years and her children born there, but has now retired in Queensland.

As for full blooded, the ones I saw in Darwin certainly looked and behaved as if they had no British ancestry. They seemed rather tribal, while using the city as their outback.
