SYDNEY (Reuters) - Australia's postal service has increased the maximum weight for mailmen and women by 15 kg (33 pounds) in an attempt to attract more "posties", local media reported on Tuesday.
Classic example of an intentionally misleading headline.
They aren't "seeking fatter mailmen". They're simply changing existing criteria to allow them.
The headline should real more like "Australia Changes Rules To Permit Fatter Mailmen".
It isn't like they're on some national recruitment campaign, hanging around outside fast food joints and pamphleteering every fatty that waddles out.
"Hey, you there... With the three chins... No, not you, the other one standing behind you who I can barely see... Yes, you... Have you ever considered a career in the postal service? We're looking for people like you now..."
