I think this new picture going around adds fuel to the fire that Austin Dillon will be joining RCR in their other open spot.

NASCAR does have Sergio Pena but he's only getting select Truck and Nationwide starts.

In an interesting turn of events, due to the Napa situation at MWR, Truex may or may not be on the table for jumping to another team if he can get a sponsor with another team. The rumors for a fourth JGR team are on the table again.

They ought to be renamed "Stewart Hothead Racing".

Then there's Danica, who is just Hot.
Fixed it for you.

That team is going to be rough edged at the minimum. Like the Philly Flyers in the Broad Street Bullies era.

Yikes.

In another note:

Matt Kenseth and Kyle Busch are just on fire. JGR is looking like a Title is within reach. JJ is the lone chaser left that could throw a wrench in the mix.

and he just did..

i wonder if Jr got a call from the boss telling him NOT to pass JJ in the final laps.. if so, it would have had to of been some secret coded message due to new rules implemented by NASCAR to drive hard to win at all times!

the issue is Jr missed his stop. Who knows if that was a communication issue, a mistake by JR or a coded message. I doubt Jr would do that as with a few wins (and the other chasers getting swept up in Dega) he COULD be a contender again.

Aric Almirola is Cuban-American. The US Government also recognizes anybody of South American descent as Hispanic - so Nelson Piquet, Jr, and Miguel Paludo count, too.

I could tell during his post race interview that Jr was upset not getting the win so I doubt Hendrick told him to tank it.. but he could have been just as upset had that been the case so who knows...

regardless, great race to watch..
