Honda coming to NASCAR?

Petty-Andretti Motorsports coming to NASCAR with Honda cars and funding. Not a much better way for Honda Motor Co. To enter NASCAR with to iconic names to be the spokesman for there team Richard Petty and Mario Andretti. Michael Andretti is the best positioned team outside of NASCAR to bring Honda into Stock car racing and with former NASCAR crew chief and NASCAR Executive Robin Pemberton already employed at Andretti. Sounds like it all done but the announcement.

The problem with that is that it will fundamentally change the sport.

You'll basically have Team Toyota, Team Chevrolet, Team Ford, Team Honda, Team Audi and there will be no real room left for owners. And once that shift happens, then the manufacturers gain the upper hand over the sanctioning body.

3 to 4 manufacturers, maybe 5 is about the top end, I think, of what you want to see.

kyle larson became the second driver to win both the open and the all star race. he held of kevin harvick in the closing laps of the race, kyle busch, joey logano and bubba wallace rounded out the top five, though as the laps wound down they faded and were not a factor in the end.

The Open was more fun than the All Star! When Bubba got close to the front in the AS, the fans were in full approval. (At east where we sat.)

But the after race throw down between Bowyer and Rocketman Newman was funny. Reminded me of the Gordon-Kenseth fight (helmet).

I'm such a fan of Bubba.. Really like that kid. Wish he were with a better team. He's not had great luck.. Gibbs didn't really have a spot for him, then he went to Roush which was on the downslide at the time, and then winds up at Petty which has.. Honestly, been a bottom feeder for years.

He likely cost Suarez a spot tho.. The contact there at the end.

i also like bubba wallace, and like suarez i keep hoping the wallace will step up and start using that talent they have to run up front and win races. sorry but these days the excuse that the equipment is holding them back is not really valid anymore.
