That's terrible, though I did find it mildly amusing. I hope others are not offended by this, and see it for what it was meant to be, just plain old humor.
Now, I hope that there will someday be more blacks competing in auto racing, as we've seen with a few hispanics over the last few years (Aric Almirola, Juan Pablo Montoya, and Ruben Pardo, for instance). It is always good to have some diversity, and it would help eliminate the "redneck" stereotype associated with NASCAR.
Nope not offend it was funny lol...I get it. Although I dont really know that much about Nascar, I would like to see a few black racers or hell some asians too. It seems like an interesting sport, just wish the tracks were not all the same.
Yeah i ain't racist but when i saw it i laughed. But i feel that we need more black people and even women in Nascar... All the more why i am a Danica Patrick fan
I see she will be racing in the 500, although Id still like to see #3 son win it all, I hope this Danica chick does well.
I'm guessing there aren't as many black drivers in NASCAR like their aren't many in hockey. However, I'm thinking because it has long been viewed as a "good ole boy" sport kind of keeps blacks from trying very hard to get involved with it as well.
The question is, how does a black male even get into NASCAR or any type of racing?
Is it money issue, or just the plain fact that most people don't even know where to start a potential career in NASCAR?
I know how to get into the NFL and the NBA. Practice each day, play in HS, go to College, play better then the rest of my peers and maybe get drafted. How do I get into NASCAR? Is there a school I join, or do I need to know someone?
I think that one of the reasons you don't see many blacks doing the sport, it's not that they don't care, then may not know the ways to join, or it costs too much to even bother with it.
My 0.02 cents.
