I just had my brakes and rotors replaced on the front end of my vehicle and now sometimes the brakes squeal and squeak when I apply the brakes and sometimes they just make a sound when I am driving like they are rubbing against something. They never did this before I had them replaced so is this something to worry about or is it normal? The truck doesn't shake as bad as it used to that is for sure just want to make sure the brakes are not bad or something they were brand new as were the rotors.

Sounds like someone didn't put on the anti-squeal compound on the back of the pads before install.

Ah. I guess I will take it back to the shop then and get them to look at it. Thanks for letting me know about this.

Sometimes new brake parts will squeal a bit until they break in properly. Without hearing the noise it's hard to say if this is normal or not.

Sounds normal if they used aftermarket parts.

Although no brakes 'should' make noise, some different compounds are more prone to chatter as well.

They should have used the anti squeal compound on them. Never the less, when this happens AFTER they are broke in you can try heating them up. There may be glazing on them and a good hard fast stop from speed usually takes care of it. You may have to repeat it a couple times but it usually works. Like 60-0 hard!
