I actually had one car that refused to be traded! It was if this 1973 MGB had a mind of it's own. Come to think of it, the Lucas Electrics DID have a mind of their own!
I never had it towed in to be traded, but I did try to drive it like 3 times when the dealership was expecting me to be there with it to trade and it would break down within 3-5 miles away each time. On the 4th try, I finally did make it and got it traded away.

Lucas electricals are like problem employees ... do I ....
(a) work today?
(b) not work today?
(c) work when I feel like it?
(d) quit, and try to burn the place down while I'm leaving?
But you do have to give credit for his legacy of the intermittent wiper ... and the intermittent starter, intermittent fuel pump, and dimmable lighting.
How do I get rid of you? Is there a secret phrase? Abracadabra? Shoe fly? Sionora? Maybe I'll call the ACLU and tell them I'm being stalked? Are you with the police? Or maybe Christian minister? The ACLU will jump right on it if you are.
Put him on ignore, I have a couple of card holding liberal ACLU members there....
