Not Jaguars. I do not understand people buying a Jag. Their value drops so much faster than the others you listed. When I see someone driving one, I think "i love wasting money." I like how most of the models look but after working in auto claims, its amazing how worthless they are after a few years. 2010 civic and 2010 Jag will equal the same value after 4 years.

This might surprise you, but resale value is not always a top priority. I mean, do you look at resale value of a vacation? How about of a nice dinner out? If you treat cars as a hobby, you buy them to enjoy them, you don't buy them to resell them later. The value you derive from them is enjoyment.

I've owned a few Jags. Wonderful cars to drive. I'd buy another. And the resale on them isn't really any worse than on cars like my BMW. But resale isn't why I bought them, any more than I gave a crap about ROI on my last trip to Scotland.

Well, I guess I'd have to answer "yea". I have VW's and I was about to post a question on here to see if I should paint my latest purchase "violet". It' s a new beetle, with cream interior. I thought light purple would be cute. lol My other car is a bright yellow beetle with a sun roof. The other one is the family vaca car and it's a suburban with past vaca bumper stickers all over the back and a surf board rack on top. I've owned VW's since I was young, so, I guess it does define me.
So, what do you guys think? Violet bug? I have the feeling I'm going to get some crap on here for this. I know, I like cute things though.
Do I fit into that "shallow" area? ha ha ha
I don't mind being shallow some times, so it's ok. I like to have a good time, enjoy the trivial, I do have some deep moments, but not many if I can help it. lol

I've had purple and lavendar classic Beetles. If I were to do it with a new Beetle, I'd probably two tone it in the classic style, drop some custom wheels on it (say, Audi 5 spoke takeoffs from an older TT) and separate the two tone with a pinstripe.

That is just stupid and you know it is stupid. Please apologize for the stupid comparisons. Vacations nor a meal are material possessions.

Because 20 Honda Civics would never be as cool as one Jag on their best day! Especially the V-12's and rag-tops. Silly rabbit, Civics are for kids!

So cool! Those look awesome! I'm sooooo excited to do that now and I think you are right, that old school panel door two tone is great! It is a convertible with a cream top and cream interior. I should pull in some of that cream on the door panels. Thanks so much for the pics.
